Preparations

With less than three weeks to go, it's about time to take care of the last preparations. "The bag" needs to be packed and some other minor things need to be taken care of. But, as I mentioned in an earlier post, when it comes to baby clothes we probably have all we need for the first weeks. Or what do you think?

A while ago we also prepared the baby bed and it is now only waiting for our new family member. So are we. The question is if we are mentally prepared for this? Can we ever be, considering this is our first child and that this whole thing will make a huge, but of course positive, difference in our lives? I don't know. It sure is exciting, but it's so hard to imagine what our lives will be like in a couple of weeks. But in the end it is something we have wanted for quite a while now, so more than anything else we look forward to our first encounter with our little kiwi.

You must be so excited and nervous as each day passes by. You are right, I don't think one can ever be truly prepared for a baby but half of the experience is being surprised every day by something new. Keep us posted! Take care. Hugs.

So far no news on the baby front, but I promise to let you know, asap, when anything happens. :-) Miss you too and hope you can make it to Sweden soon!

It is like something you never expected. You think you knew what it is going to be like and what to expect, but, boy, were we miles off on our expectactions. Haha...We went to Waldshut for our 5 year anniversary with Dan and we took Zachy with us in the car seat in the Thai restaurant. He was a good boy and he observed with great attention the couples on the near by table...so we could enjoy our lunch. It was the first time in 5 months Dan and I were out on a date again, haha...

Yeah, I guess that's what it's like. Matts and I had a nice day out last weekend when we went to the cinema. Who knows when we'll be able to do that together just the two of us again. Well, we might have time for another movie night before delivery, but after... That's another story. Congratulation to your anniversary - and boy, am I hungry now after reading about you two going to the best Thai restaurant ever... :-)
