After rinsing the flowers, I placed them in a big casserole and covered them with three lemons in thin slices. Then I added 2 liters boiling water, 1,5 kg sugar and 50 g citric acid. I stirred until the sugar was dissolved and now it's supposed to stand covered for three days before filtering. Then, hopefully, we will have about 3 liters of concentrated elderflower cordial...
Since we moved back from Switzerland, much has happened and now this blog is undergoing a change as well. Instead of being the "Back in Sweden"-blog it will be a blog about our life here and now instead of my version of a guide to Sweden.

Elderflower cordial

Åh, det är såååå gott med flädersaft, och du gör helt rätt. Jag har gjort enligt ditt recept flera gånger och det blir så bra. Tyvärr har Vägverket stängslat in mitt fläderblomsställe så det blir nog ingen saft i år. Till nästa år kan du ju få tipset att det går att göra likadant med syren. Och det blir oxå jättegott. Det var ju faktiskt mycket enklare än jag trodde att göra flädersaft, så det kan nog bli en repris på det kommande år också. :-) Men som sagt, tillgång på fläder är ju ett måste.
